<<<< [Good Afternoon, this is Corinna Kirsch, Art Fag City Art News Blogger, with a Breaking News Update on what Nate Hill is doing right now. He took some time this afternoon from work to go to the Apple Store. He works in a cold building. People wear sweaters during the summer inside. So when he got outside, the sun felt very good on his skin. The location of the Apple Store was the 5th and 59th one. His wife just called to say that the dog has a yeast infection. Again. This time it's on her belly. Last time it was on her hand. The dog licks herself till all her hair falls out and last time the vet gave them some medicine for her that worked. She stopped licking herself. Anyways, today Nate Hill ran some errands on a long lunch hour. Like I was saying, he went to the Apple Store to get finally a case for his week-old new iPhone. He was carrying it around like a raw egg, so it was time. He tried to follow the instructions to apply the protective film to the screen, but he still got a couple pieces of lint under it which are making him upset because they are in the way of the view. Maybe we can get our readers some pictures later tonight. He read the directions and followed all the instructions. He removed all the lint from the face of the phone and pulled out the film but somewhere between opening the film and applying it, two pieces of lint sneaked underneath. Now, he doesn't know whether to pull it off to remove the lint and re-apply or if that will just make it worse. It came with two films, but he wonders, is this a really good reason to use the second film. Hold on, he's going to go for it. Hold on. ........ Ok, he just lifted the film off with some packing tape, and it was hard because the tape stuck to the film and he was trying not to touch the film and also use another piece of tape to remove the lint. But he did it, he removed the lint, but now the sides don't go down as well. They were already bubbling, but now they're worse, but at least the lint is gone, he thinks. Right now, Nate Hill is also thinking what it would be like to take his name and put it into the biographies of famous artists. Like this.. Analytic cubism (1909-1912) is a style of painting Nate Hill developed along with Georges Braque using monochrome brownish and neutral colors. Both artists took apart objects and "analyzed" them in terms of their shapes. Nate Hill and Braque's paintings at this time have many similarities. Synthetic cubism (1912-1919) was a further development of the genre, in which cut paper fragments--often wallpaper or portions of newspaper pages--were pasted into compositions, marking the first use of collage in fine art. We are following this story of Nate Hill very closely, and will return with more shortly.
